One of the main successful actions of the Riverside Mission (now the Centre for Celebrities) and many more like it was the Hubbard Apprentice Scientologists Course (HAS) or the Communication Course written by L. Ron Hubbard.
After people were brought in for a lecture on Affinity Reality and Communication the ARC Triangle, they were immediately put on the Communication Course at the time it was $50.00 for the course.
Originally some of the staff thought it would be a great idea to take some of the words out like Thetan, Scientology and Dianetics and other words that may be confusing to new people.
This immediately dropped the stats down and the Riverside Missions’ Class eight auditor and Case Supervisor at the time Mary Corydon had the staff change it back and the stats boomed again. This original mistake was never to be duplicated again at that mission.
One of the first Policy Letters in the book Basic Staff Hat Called ” The Organization Executive Course Introduction” Written on the 8th of sept 1969 says ” It could be argued or pleaded that this huge body of data should be made into texts capable of general application by businesses and countries. The one effort to republish these policies in other terms so badly altered the material that it became a hopeless bog even though attempted by a very successful business man. He himself was applying the originals direct to his company and it soaringly became rich. Then he decided to rewrite it all, greatly altered and edited, for his employees; and his business went on a toboggan slide. His correct action would have been to send his employees to take the same course he took-this very Org Exec Course. And let them adapt what they now knew to fit their own posts and activities. Instead, he cut them off from source, and what he wrote for them was only as much as he has gotten out of the course from his own viewpoint.”
Here again L. Ron Hubbard founder of Scientology and Dianetics points out that altering his work will slow the progress down of his religion. About ten years back I went to Celebrity Center in Hollywood and took the Success Through Communication Course a new course developed by David Mascavage after L. Ron Hubbard’s death. In the course they had taken out all the important words like Operating Theatan, Scientology, Dianetics and Clear and many more important words to the subject. In other words they had taken out source from the course. I had a few gains but nothing like what I had been used to.
Recently my family had found this original course and it is available on line and can is taught at various places around the world to people interested in Scientology and Dianetics. After instructing five students and looking up these words with them and giving them a greater understanding of Scientology and Dianetics two of them said they would love to become auditors. This is off of a basic course that takes 25 hours and costs $100.00 for instruction only. The Course book is free online.
