James Moore, England, was a pseudonym used by Antony A Phillips the editor of IVy. His reason for using a pseudonym he explained as follows. He was writing a magazine mainly for people who had recently left the Church of Scientology, or been thrown out, and who, he surmised, were likely to be more deeply brainwashed than they were aware in the direction of only following the lead of the leader of the group they were in and not thinking for themselves. He reckoned they had the ingrained habit of following the party line. His aim was to get different viewpoints discussed and encourage people to look and evaluate the various bits of data hanging around. As he was the editor he refrained from writing editorials emphasising one point of view and indeed from writing articles under his name. Other pseudonyms he used were: Kathleen Grady, Hubert Spencer, Kurt Hemningslose. (Hæmningsløs is a Danish word meaning uninhibited or reckless). Go to http://ivymag.org/authors.html and look under those names for the pseudonym articles he wrote. You can find all IVy articles at [[1]]
