Tom Esterbrook was one of L. Ron Hubbard's pen-names which he used in Scientology material. I was told of this fact some time in the 50's. He wrote some articles under that pen-name in Ability magazine of the 50's. Ability magazine in pdf format can be found at https://mega.co.nz/#F!IFJiXILR!H3Sf5AYblhBjmQ-3CJyuaw, though unfortunately they are not searchable.
