- Joe Harrington was a USA Scientologist at the time of the great split (1983) he was very active, especially as Internet came into use .
He met and married a Swedish Scientologist (Birgitta), and I believe died in Helsingborg, Sweden. I remember one trip I made with him and his wife to a group in Gottenborg, further north. (His widow's Internet address bounces - I hope someone else can add something, as he was he was quite a figure in the free Scientology scene in the mid 80s, after the split, when there was a lot of randomity.)
