Leah Marie Remini (born June 15, 1970)[1] is an American actress, producer, author, and comedian. She is best known for her roles as Carrie Heffernan in The King of Queens (1998–2007) and Lara in the film Old School, as well as a co-hosting The Talk from 2010–2011. In 2015, she starred in the show Leah Remini: It's All Relative, and released Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, her memoir about her experience with Scientology and reasons for leaving it. In 2016, she followed up her memoir with the documentary television series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath to highlight other former Scientologists' experiences.[2][1]

Scientologist?[edit | edit source]

As a "celebrity" Scientologist, Leah was 'love-bombed', pampered, and treated far differently than rank-and-file Scientologists - public or staff.

Celebrity Scientologists have a different experience which, unfortunately for them, includes not ever learning the basic precepts and how-to's of the subject. They may learn some of the terminology, but none that we know of, are ever taught how to audit and truly use the technology. Leah falls into this category as evidenced by her answers to questions about the subject when posed to her - she consistently gives wrong answers to basic questions about the philosophy, technology and the founder.

Since leaving the "church", Leah has never contributed to the large Scientology "field" operating outside the church. (a far greater population than the "in" population). She has never been involved in any activities or support actions or donations to help bolster the Freezone, Ron's Org's or Independent Scientology practices or activities.

So she is NOT a spokesperson for, nor does she represent Scientologists OTC (outside the church). She speaks for a small group of former Sea Org members who've dominated the media megaphone with salacious stories of CoS abuse and celebrity gossip.

Note: we abhor the practices of disconnection and fair game and for decades have called for an end to those practices and the removal of David Miscavige. (even while Mike Rinder was one of the main enablers of Miscaviges' rise to power and a leading henchman prosecuting those abusive practices against us)

And her complaints about the practice of disconnection are hypocritical since she practices it on Scientologists OTC in present time.
